E70 Alarm activates immediately after locking

Hi, I have a 2009 X5 which developed a problem with the alarm yesterday. When I lock the the car(either with the fob or the key), the alarm immediately starts sounding. Even deactivating the interior sensors using the extra click on the fob doesn't work so I'm assuming it's a hood sensor issue but can't find where it's located.
Any suggestions for a fix? Many thanks
