    Too many ;-)
If the Glacier blue with half the miles of this one was worth $34k, then the BIN price on this one seems like a bargain.

I hate to say it again.... The Calypsorot curse!

There's now a Dinan stage 3, an AC Schnitzer car, and a properly modified forum member's car for sale, all Calypsorot... Let's see if those modifications can make a difference in sale time/price as compared to a low mile all original E31 like this one.

It's a difficult color to love I know, but personally I prefer it over the "seen a billion of 'em" black ones.

I will wholeheartedly agree with you there my friend.... And that's coming from a former owner of a Jet Black '97 850ci. I think out of all the E31 cars that came to the USA, 42% were in the black family of colors (if I remember correctly).

And there is a reason that 42% were black. Because the black ones are stunning! And now you know.

No. 100% disagree with you... or else why would over 80% of all Ferraris be Red and still be even more stunning than your 42% Black E31s?
Black is the common man's "everyday car" color. 4-door Sedan color. Exotic 2-door sports coupes should be bright and boldly colored. Hence Ferrari, Lamborghini etc...

Haha black is certainly a classic BMW color, but aside from its relative ubiquity, I don't think it accentuates the E31 lines as well as most other colors. Lastly, here in Arizona, black is just insanity for most of the year. But that's just my perspective.

Ferraris are red because of tradition. I believe e31's look best in black. You are comparing apples to oranges.

Apples and oranges? Have a look at a ferrari f355 and bmw 850csi and see that I'm talking about oranges and oranges. They look 90% alike these two cars.
Anyway. The main reason people choose black or grey or silver is because they're scared of traffic tickets and want to blend in. They love red or yellow and what not, but think cops will give them tickets because they stand out and be seen easier when they are speeding, which is what almost everyone does in a sports car. Everytime someone sees me in my red car they tell me you must get a lot of tickets.

I love my 8, no question, but I don't consider it to be an exotic 2 door sport coupe like a Ferrari or a Lamborghini(And they make black cars too, I guess they don't know that black cars aren't sporty). I chose a black 8 because IMHO that is the best looking color, for a bunch of reasons, but none of them were hoping black would blend in. Don't get me wrong, I like your logic, but I'm pretty sure that radar does not use color to determine speed(and I have the tickets to prove it).

In my opinion, E31s are VERY exotic. Whether an entry level model or a CSi, equally as exotic as Fsrraris . Hence the near $100k pricetag (27 years ago) as well. Red is more
Visible to the cop's eye not the radar. That's what people are referring to.

Purely a matter of personal taste. Some like black, some red, some silver and so on. That is why factory provides different colours.

For what is worth i have heard that dark cars are usually seen distinguished

It is apples and oranges. Germans first of all make very few red cars of any make. That is why when you see any red BMW or Mercedes it stands out. And e31's really are not in the same class as a Lambo or Ferrari. Those are considered true sports cars, where the e31 never was because of weight. How many auto Ferraris do you see from the 80's or 90's? e31's look better in dark colors, that is why most are that way. The market decided what they look best in. If everyone wanted a red one there would be more of them. Ferrari is red because of the racing heritage, and Enzo wanted the cars to be the same color. because of that most people think of Ferrari only in red, even though they do offer other colors.
