Key fob wont work unless if used in keyhole

So yesterday morning i finally took my car to work to get it ready to register, keyfob was working and i was able to use it from afar. After i arrived it stopped working unless if i put the key in the driver side keyhole and then i can use the buttons. Any idea what might have happened and if i should reprogram the key?

Iwould try another remote for testing purposes you can program any remote of that style to your car of course the key blade could not be used

What car is this in reference to? Perhaps you need to replace the battery?

Shoot, forgot to mention that. Its for a 325ci. Tried again today and it works as if nothing ever happened
