    Caster settings

What are you E36 guys getting for caster on your M3s? I have a 328 and I know the spindle and therefore caster is lower on my car - just wondering what numbers you're getting on the alignment rack.

I can get 6* on one side and 6.5* on the other - this is with the stock control arms, GC camber plates, offset GC rollcenter balljoints (rotated to the outside, and offset GC lollipop bushings (also to the outside).

IIRC, my MRoadster got like 7-9 degrees.

    Thanks for any info.

6.6 and 6.3 respectively on my Spec3 build. But this is mostly just me monkeying around on an alignment rack. I'm not sure my caster is maxed out.

Car is a '95 325i but with M3 front control arms, centered FCABs, Vorshlag camber plates, Koni inserts in stock M3 strut housings, and Swift springs.

Thanks - kind of surprised no one else is chiming it at all.

I found out from Terry/Vorshlag that the control arms I'm running make up for some of it.

The Non-M arms outer balljoint is further back towards the firewall, reducing caster. Not sure how much, but that's the least invasive thing to try, so it'll go first. I had one off my M-Roadster, and can verify it's about 3/4 inch further forward than the 328 arm.

I'm really tempted to try the AKG motorsports arms and hope I can add caster low and high. I'll do a search and see if anyone's using them.

The last alignment sheet I could find had 6.6* and 6.8* respectively, though I'm not sure that's maxed out.

Thanks Guys - I appreciate the info.

I'm hoping the 96+ M3 arms are the trick.
