I think the car has some great potential. Remove all the extra stickers and emblems, put some mirrors on it, do some interior work, and fix the trunk lid. Now you have a pretty cool car. If it hadn't been so far away....

Actually, had the seller posted pics like the ones just posted here after a wash - I'd have definitely bought it myself and not even started this post.

I'll Try to come on one of the socal8s event, after some touch ups and custom fender liners (looks too naked if seen in live..)

Toonz, i didn't even seen a post, only the next day after purchase i visited the forums and noticed all negative comments.. if i would see the post i might've just stay in Sacramento.. but! so far i like the ride..

I really wanted to come over on the Legends of autobahn, but I'm leaving town on that same weekend.. GRR...

You have to understand, that particular car has been ridiculed mercilessly over the years, this is nothing!

BUT... had he given it a wash and posted even the two pictures like you just did, you would have stayed in Sacramento because I'd have pulled the trigger.

The rockers can be fixed, the interior... well, if your mom's into that sort of thing... uhh... lol
Other than that, I think it looks kinda cool

I thought the E31 doors were too heavy for those hinges and that once done its nearly irreversible.

Nothing is irreversible, but why bother, IMHO the whole appeal of this one is the things that make it not stock.

I have been told that an 8 is equally as exotic as a Lambo, so I don't see the issue.
