Hey guys love this forum, bought my car a couple weeks ago and have been reading everything here so i decided to jump on and ask something!
I have the Dinan stage 3 tune already installed, however, i want to be able to monitor the gauges. The 2 choices i am looking at is the P3 Gauges in the vent or the Cobb Accessport.
Obviously the Cobb is better, I had it in my previous car and loved it but....
1. Will the Accessport overwrite the Dinan maps? Don't want to mess around with the maps atm at the car still has 1.5 years of warranty
2. Will the Accessport work with the Dinan maps? Just want to monitor the information, gauges, 0-60, power, and codes
2014 BMW 435 XI - Dinan intercooler, ER downpipe, Dinan carbon fiber intake, M performance exhaust, performance Dinan springs
on the way - ER Chargepipe and TIP
i think you can use the accessport without overwriting the maps, if it works i dunno, it should, since dinan just did the same thing that the accessport did, overwrite the maps n whatever else
you should talk to your tuner
for the gauges:
you can install gauges with sensors at the motors various sensor points.
you can use the access port, if it works
or you can use a obd2 bluetooth transmitter and use an app like on tablet or phone, i use torque on android but there are other apps too.
acess port and obd2 only shows you sensors the car already has or makes available.
