Yes...that's one big reason why my choice for a bike was MV Agusta: a super-high-strung triple or V6 sound amazing! (or inline 6, thought that sounds a bit different, even better IMO but a bit less 'raw' often. And that long shape counts it out from a lot of applications, like most bikes.)
Formula 1 engines have their rev range toned down to street bike levels thanks to the turbocharging, making them sound similar (bikes rev to around 13000 rpm). F1 has the turbo as a bit of sound deadening so once again it sounds a bit similar to a road legal bike since those have mufflers. And of course the inline 3 and V6 have the base character of their sound really similar to begin with.
Hence (not my video, just an example that shows the sound, this has no DB killer in the exhaust but the sound is the same even in legal mode. This just demonstrates the sound you experience in real life a lot better):

And here's an onboard with a bit of distortion in the sound however (and this version of the bike with the QD exhaust has lost a bit of the induction howl that I love):

Hamilton hit with a 5 grid penalty for changing a gear box. He should be able to fight his way back on this power circuit.
I blame Vet- ...... never mind.
are you on the Planetf1 forum??? jajajaja. That, and blaming Mercedes for doing a shitty gearbox, to Valteri Bottas mechnics putting their fingers on it, to a directive from Jean Todt for being easy on Vettel are the most common answers right now, some people are so hanging from LH, they are calling temselves the Brotherhood....

The gearbox failure is obviously due to the thug Vettel rear ending and side swiping Hamilton.
So any injinur experts can remind me why are the engines limited to 100kg/hr fuel flow limit and cannot rev to 15k rpm limit?
"The F1 Brotherhood are disappointed with our P8 starting grid position, that said we will fight hard as always to limit the damage of an already testing start to the weekend. We expect to lose further ground to our main competitor in the red horse, due to our grid drop penalty but cannot afford to concede further ground, unparalleled leadership from the top down is essential if we are to claim the crown. We reaffirm our faith in our Pilot #LH44 he will do the business as long as he is supplied with the right hardware and the hardware works!"
is this Vamp?

I would not choose Verstappen over Ricciardo for Ferrari. But then again there are lots of variables at play. Maybe Ricciardo is comfortable at Red Bull precisely because he's doing so well, whereas Verstappen and 'his people' are starting to nervously look elsewhere so his perceived value doesn't start fading... Not that Verstappen is terrible though, just not such an amazing talent or above Ricciardo IMO.
Sainz however I don't believe in going to Ferrari, I just don't see what talent or good work others seem to be seeing.

ESPN is reporting that Hamilton caused it himself due to granny shifting and not double clutching like he should. He's lucky he didn't blow the welds on the intake.

'Bow-taas' on pole.
Bad kamra angul and nein telmetry. What has happened to FOM?
The guy doing interviews after Q3 is a doofus.
No hand shake from Hamilton. I have a feeling things will be getting chippy yet again this season.
