Hi Folks,
So with the 318is being off the road to get a full rebuild I decided I needed another E36 to keep me going.....or 2!!! So I obtained a 99 318ic M-Sport cabrio as my daily and a 328ic cabrio as a once in a while car seeing as it has uber low mileage at 55,000 so I do not want it going up to much.

With it only being the weenie M43 4cyl and a daily driver there is very little performance wise that can be done, however I am working on improving the response from the M43 and so far it is proving to work. With Ireland having such high yearly road tax rates the M43 and M44 engined E36's are great cheap daily's and as lots on here know the cabrios are great fun cars when the sun does eventually come out .
I may down the line transplant the 138bhp M44 16v engine into the cabrio as in my opinion it should of come with this engine in the first place to to the extra weight. I know some countries could get the E36 convertibles from new with M44 engines however Ireland was not one of those countries unfortunately, so for now I shall make due and continue with my experiments that cost very little to do.
SOME PICS:
FUTURE JOBS:
Replace front timing cover gaskets
Repaint car due to it being keyed before I purchased it
Install BC coilovers
Fix fuel guage (costly showing empty)
Braided brakes lines all round
And most of all enjoy it , more updates and pics to come shortly.
Thanks for looking
Nice car ! I like the color combo very much, I'd just like to see it lower but that's my personal taste !
The M5 E34 rims fits the car nicely !
