advise how to resolve inpa reading error

Hi' anyone out there can advise how to resolve inpa reading error ApiResult Text: #28 IFH-0018. i m plugging in k+dcan usb interface to check out ecm/ecu status on my e90 n46, unfortunately a dialog box pop up read as;
"ApiResult Text: Error #28 IFH-0018:
Initialization error.
API job error or no such result !
Continue script processing ?
My e90 is running good, just wanna check out and learn more about the ECU/ECM/GMS stuffs ... Thx
