I am trying to loosen the rear diff in order to change out the camber arms on my 2001 m3. I took out the rear two bolts but the front one is giving me problems. I loosened it, but it got real tight, impossible to turn. Then I tried to turn it back in and I can't even get it to move.
Any suggestions? Is this bolt stripped?
Do you have a picture of the bolt? Or perhaps a diagram you can use to point out to us?

Are you supporting the diff with a jack? If not, all the weight of the diff will be on that one bolt at a weird angle and it probably won't move anywhere without stripping or breaking.

Put a pry bar between the diff and SF and get the load off it. Spray lube it and work it in and out a bit each way. My rule is hand tight atleast 50% of the way or I adjust position.
