    2001 bmw 540i

    Vacuum line termination

    Model 540I E39 (2001)
    See picture. this vacuum line connects to the rubber boot but I don't remember where it terminates. i'm thinking to the CCVV (drivers side) except not sure. Does someone have a photo of ther engine compartment or a diagram thanks alex

    That port connects to the vac line the goes to the fuel pressure regulator.
    It runs along the top of the drivers side valve cover to the back of the engine, then under the cabin air filter into the brake booster compartment, and then into the car body to the FPR in the fuel filter under the car.

    Yeah, and at least on later cars the FPR line is a tiny hard plastic tube going across the drivers side valve cover, if that helps to identify it. It has a hose on the end of it to connect it to the barb but the main length is that hard plastic.

    Does anyone have a picture or a diagram to the fuel pressure regulator. I ran that line to the drivers side of the CCVV as shown here. Wow
