Information, my car is a 1992 BMW 525i E34 with M50B25 engine.
I just changed head gasket on my engine. I had to remove my radiator and some hoses, and install all of them back again. When I filled up the coolant, I accidently filled too much, so the coolant flowed a bit over the edge of the expansion tank (where I fill coolant). Then it began to drip coolant that formed puddles on the two spots illustrated in the pictures. I feared that I had leakege, but could not find out where after inspection, so I concluded that it came from some overflow or something since I apparantly had overfilled. I could not explain why there was a puddle under the gearbox, since I had not let the engine run. I could see from the color that the puddles was from the new coolant, and not the old one.
Then I took it for a small spin, and when I parked it, it dripped coolant from the same places. I could not see any leakages when inspecting the engine. Now I'm scared to drive it. Do anyone know where it might come from, if it's harmless, or if it is just spilled coolant that has gathered in some pockets?

Just below gearbox is most probably from the drain holes from the aircon = just moisture.
This is an IHKA box from an E32, in the front left and right the corrugated plastic hoses are leading to the drain holes http://bmwe32.masscom.net/johan/ihka/ihka.html

So no leakage? The fluid had the same color as the coolant.
Pressure check the system.
I have identified the problems and fixed them both. The rear puddle was fixed by tigthening the hose clamp on the hose going to the heater core, and tightening the bolt on the small pipe that's on the rear head. The front puddle was more frustrating though. It was caused by a leaking radiator, but I didn't know the leakage was so severe, and it got worse after a drive. It leaked like hell from between the expansion tank and the alu-radiator, so I was stranded far way from home, and didn't dare to drive the car home. So I had to call someone to come bring a radiator, and we changed it on the spot, but the "new" on was also leaking at the same place. But as kind as the guy bringing the radiator was, he drove back home and dismantled the radiator from his own car, and let me use that one, and now all leaks and puddles are gone.
