Finally some peace and quiet #stupidsiren

Nope. Lazy and spending money on AC issues has me tightening my purse strings.

any update on this? I am thinking my siren is also the issue, especially since it started when we were hitting 85-90 degree days.
    Thanks.

Not yet. I ordered a used one but haven't installed it yet. No issues with the rest of the system though since I removed the siren.

I replaced my siren with a new unit but despite this, on the warm days (80deg(F)+ temps), the alarm still gets triggered!!! Any day with over 80deg(F) temp = 100% guarantee the alarm gets triggered - so what do you track now?!

I replaced the siren too and still get it sometimes on hot days. The interior motion sensor is still unplugged. The last culprit is the tilt sensor, apparently in the trunk. My current solution is to hit the lock button twice, disabling the tilt and motion monitoring. No false alarms when I do this.

Double post eh. If everything is unplugged beside the tilt sensor maybe you should try it or is everything really unplugged the alarm system isn’t rocket science it requires a trigger to go off, this is out there but what about the lighting module behind the glove box? Just disconnect the power to it....maybe

will check the light module and the tilt sensor. thank you.

a BFc member also has a diagnostic scanner for BMW, and he has graciously offered to let me use it to track down any fault codes which might be stored to help with the alarm issues.

    will post results soon.

Scanning the car would help for sure! I forget what year your car is but if I remember correctly is 95-96 right. Which were know for having problems with the lighting module(Im sure it’s called something else) my 95 always told me it had a taillight out or brake light out and I replaced everything but the module and it was never able to get it to stop until I replaced the lighting module. But never had an alarm problem that wasn’t related to proximity sensor or hood pin.

Wrong your cars an 01 right
