What I'm trying to say is that the hydraulic system is unable to open the roof from the fully closed position. I need to keep the button pressed with one hand and push the roof backwards with the other hand about half way until it opens by itself the rest of the way.
The other way around (closing) works really well. Plenty of power there.
I did just repair the motor itself and re-filled the hydraulic fluid but I don't think this is related as this problem existed before the motor gave out. Motor is running strong. I don't seem to have a hydraulic leak. Any ideas? Could it be that the lines are not self-bleeding properly?
Maybe consider the pistons and their seals? It is a whole hydraulic system after all. Just an idea.
