    New M3 Owner

One crazy story , I will keep it short, had a friend of mine give me a 2005 M3 convertible he bought new. It was on its second SMG pump so he decided to move forward. I am doing the SMG conversion to 6-speed clutch car. I need clarification on 1 the shifter bracket that I am welding on the body under the console, where can I get that bracket or do I go to all the salvage yards and start looking. It would be a lot easier if I could buy the bracket. Thanks in advance. I am looking forward to driving this car with the top down !!!! David

    Welcome to the Forum!

Are you sure you need to weld a bracket in place, as I think there is a stud up in the location to attach the bushing to? Here is the parts book: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=25_0375

Doesn't really show a bracket, except the bushing.
