Of what is the OEM hartop made--can someone please clear this up ?
I've been told it is fibreglass (but perhaps that is the Wiesmann version) and also that it is aluminum.
It's nice and light compared to the only other hardtop I've owned (MB R107 SL), so I'm happy either way.
Any primary references you can share are welcome.

It's definitely fiberglass .
Stripped the inside off to replace a seal.
You could see the fiberglass strands.

That makes sense. I was thinking that the Z8 used a lot of aluminum in it's construction, so maybe something was mixed up in translation.
Aluminum would make for a very expensive hard top I'd imagine...
