    DTC doesn't turn off? STUMPED!

Okay so I got this car in a trade... 2000 328CI
DTC button doesn't work, nothing comes on when I turn it on like no DTC light. I checked the fuses they were ALL good. I then pulled the switch out and nothing looked burned on the board.
My guess is a bad pump/module.
    Any advice would fantastic

Assuming that you meant DSC. The lights (abs brake and dsc) should all come on and go off when ignition switch is on. If that works then the problem is most likely the button/switch.

Yeah I meant DSC realized that right after I posted...
Brake light works like it should
ABS light was on till I drove down the street it went off
However the triangle light never came on when I started it up.

You should check if there are any codes in the dsc module

Yeah I want to but I don't have a tool that can read that. And I'm a college student that can't afford BMW to read them.

Got an old xp laptop? BMW scanner 1.4 is only $15 and easy to install and use.
If I were to give my Touring a first name, I'd probably name it "Alan".

    Or Bcables.com

You can download everything you need software wise there, and just find an OBD II cable with a USB plug end on it for the laptop.

Bad guess. As noted in all the previous threads, do more troubleshooting before you start wasting money on replacing parts.
