    What happened to Brooks Motorsport?

Wanted to get an STU wing from them. Website is down.

    They go bye bye?

Uncanny timing, I was just thinking the same thing this morning since I wanted to purchase some new uprights for my wing. Their number on FB still works so I called and left a message.

Someone on M3F recently posted about how he ordered a wing several weeks ago and hasn't been able to get a hold of them since. Sad to see them go away.

Word on the street is that they closed. I had ordered a wing from them in April and took them about a month to get back to me so I cancelled and picked up a BW wing. In Brooks' response to my 18 million emails and phone calls they said that their shop had been broken into and my emails got lost in the chaos. No idea if true or if them getting broken into was the reason for closure, but it is kind of a bummer since they made nice stuff. Customer service did seem super sucky in my experience with them.

The downfall all seemed to coincide with Brooks selling the business.
I have nothing but great experience with Brooks, he went so over and above the call when he built my wing to come up with a design that worked.
It all seemed to vaporize shortly after he sold it.
It was documented in a thread here, the sale, the handoff and introduction to new owners, etc.

I was a couple days late in buying it...
It's not speed that kills, it's the speed difference that does. Obviously you aren't going fast enough.

I spoke with someone yesterday who is interested in acquiring the molds. Anyone have a way of contacting the old owners?

I saw the big wing is for sale on the "mkahmotorsports.com" Not sure if that's just an old page or a new development.

Probably an old page. Achilles Motorsport and mkah both have had them listed on their website since I was looking to order mine so they likely didn't just acquire the molds or have them on hand, but doesn't hurt to ask. Brooks usually made them to order.

I purchased my Brooks through MKAH but they just ordered it from Brooks themselves. They don't keep any in stock. When I ordered mine, it took almost a month to get the wing as it was made to order.

    Gotcha.

Got some good leads on wings from the guys on another forum.

I reached out to three or 4 guys. Will let you know what they say.

    Thanks,

They used to be local to me. I haven't called them in at least 18 months or so but they were responsive back then. Surprised they let it go like this....
