My 07 530xiT that I just bought is missing the NAV DVD.
When I switch to the Navigation setting the screen only shows vehicle info.
I am assuming that the DVD was never installed?
Is the Nav info only available when the disc is in the unit?
Are the DVD's on ebay the way to go?

Hello - you're correct, info is only available when the disc is in the unit. There isn't a need to install, as soon as you put it in the unit; the map will appear. I've heard the ebay ones are a hit or miss. There used to be a company that sold copies of the BMW factory ones, but I can't find them anymore. Hopefully other members can suggest a definitive, reliable source.
