I am not going to sell mine but does anyone know where I can get a new battery for mine? I could have mine torn apart but I would rather just get a fresh one.

related: Has anyone figured out a way to use the stock car phone via Bluetooth connection from today’s smartphone? I know it seems backwards, but would be cool for nostalgic purposes. For example, if a call comes into your iphone (which is presumably paired to the car’s factory Bluetooth), the call can be answered by the front (or rear if you have it) carphone.
WTB the following Highline/Individual parts for my 2001 750iL in Black (updated Apr 2016):
    -front sport seat-back cushion
-rear U.S. entertainment armrest with radio/MID/seat/phone/shade/etc controls
-rear digital climate control with rear blower and black leather housing/console
-glovebox and rear right 2001 LHD 750iL wood trim with flag inlay; maybe the dash pieces too

I've been wondering about this. I was thinking it would be cool simply to put a bluetooth speaker/mic into the old phone handset, although somehow rigging up the entire thing to control a modern phone would be even better.

Yes! You can use a TCU or ULF module equipped with BT for this. The E39 guys have been doing it for years and the E38 should have all of the same setup, as well as the E53. The pre-wiring is all the same and if you have the phone system installed you will have the proper MID and microphone. Parts needed are the TCU/ULF module w/BT, antenna adapter cables and antenna cable. BimmerNav and B'forums all have great info on this.

Not to thread jack, but I have most of the pieces you are looking for. I was going to tackle this project and then decided to go another route. PM If you're interested. Thanks

I know this is an old thread but someone local has one with the cradle. Will these fit into my 840?
