Hi Guys,
New here please be gentle. I've done lots of reading so hopefully no n00b errors here.
Firstly after ages of pain with manually setting up both INPA / DIS etc and failing and then starting over, and it still only reading the engine and gearbox only I replaced the cable with a BCables version.
I'm now running and I'm annoyed as I have a early 2006 car but when pressing mode AUX does not show,
I put a AUX cable in but I think this one appears to not have a resistors / capacitor (cant see it in the middle of the cable.
Firstly SSS was slow and didn't do much apart from enable auto lock of doors, rest seemed a little boring.
However, NCS nearly made the blood drain out of my body as a pressed process car and every module reset, fortunately it just set the car back to factory options. I literally shat myself.
Anyway lesson learned and NCSDummy in hand I pulled a TRC of the RAD module NG01 set Aux to ticked and exported but it fails to write when I chose job and try to write it back.
I get COAPI-2060
When I try to code via nettodata I get COAPI-1063 and so I went for SG-CODIEREN.
and that failed with the 2060, seems painful and it's rather too worrying as it feels like one wrong click and bricked.
Should I just give up on this and get a new cable from eBay that has a resistor?
Thanks!
When using NCS in an attempt to write the modified file, did you use a profile with "Manipulation" enabled?
That setting doesn't work, I'm not sure why it's there. I only ever got the Aux to enable with the resistors/caps.
Get a new cable. Yours is faulty. You do not have to do any coding when you install an aux cable in e46. It just starts working as soon as it's plugged in. I bought a $10 cable on eBay. It works fine.

New cable sorted it, NCS was a waste of time.
