Does anyone have a diagram showing the grounding points on an E60? Chasing a starting issue and troubleshooting shows it is a poor ground between the starter and the chassis.
Thanks!
I'm fairly certain the engine to body ground is on the passenger side, going from the motor mount arm to the frame of the vehicle. It's a thick, brown cable.

I agree there is a ground there. I'm have a fault somewhere- that ground (now replaced) for some reason won't carry the - side of the current in order to spin the starter. If I ground the filter housing to the under-hood ground stud, it will start. I have run an additional ground from an alternator bolt to the stud, but that feels like a band-aid.
This may help some,

but I do recall some diagrams listing the whole vehicle ground points, am still looking for it will try send it when I find it.
