Modify raceland headers for SAP?

Has anybody used raceland long tube headers and modified them to maintain the SAP?

I plan to install a set to fix a badly repaired midpipe and manifold on my car, and I am debating whether to maintain the SAP instead of buying a simulator.

From the pictures of a stock manifold that I found, it looks like I would have to drill a hole then mill a channel that links the hole to the two cylinders on either side of it between cylinders 2-3 and 4-5.

If you have the means to do so it really isn't that tricky of a job, you'll also want either longer studs or you need to mill the outside of the flange down to accommodate the SAP tube as well.

if you're doing headers and likely other modifications, are you not going to get a tune? get SAP removed in the tune and kill many birds with one stone.

At this point, I don't really have the extra money for power mods, I'm only doing headers because I want to get the exhaust back to a removable cat section. Since the way I need to fix it is basically the same as the mods to accommodate the headers, it makes sense to just put the headers on.

I'm leaning towards the SAP sim, since there is one for sale locally that I can get for about half price.
