Hi Folks,
Looking for an independent mechanic for myself and my family in general that has all the sought after superlatives: experience with BMWs/German cars, responsive, knowledgeable, easy to work with, awesome craftsmanship, high quality work, can do warranty work without dragging their feet or coming up with excuses, etc. Can work with basic maintenance items such as oil leaks, oil changes, but also understand and can work with custom scopes of work such as discussions on headers, superchargers, exhaust set up, LSDs, etc. It would be great if they have experience working with E39s, especially the 540 platform.
Of course, at the end of the day, it all boils down to affordability, if they have a manageable hourly rate. Usually someone with these qualities are well known word of mouth and everyone flocks to them which is fine, I just want to make sure they can make time for your car when it does need attention.
Anyone you know whom you've had great experience with? Carson, Torrance, Long Beach, Seal Beach, Bolsa Chica, Stanton, Westminister, Huntington Beach, that radius.
Thank you!

No affiliation and although it's outside of your radius, I would HIGHLY recommend Avus Autosport in Glendale. One of the most responsible, honest, and fair BMW shops around. One of the few authorized Dinan shops too.

SWR Motorsports in Fullerton. Shane is a good dude, provides track support for a few people and I know one of his shop/client builds is an SC E39 540i.

Thanks Folks!
I actually work in Glendale. Anyone in particular I should talk to at Avus Autosport should I happen to pay them a visit? Also good to know about Shane in Fullerton. Looks like he worked on that SC'd 540 (Seth's) that was at Bimmerfest this year.
If there are anymore recommendations anyone else has had good experience with, please suggest them as well.
Thanks!

I have had great experiences with the substantial upgrades recently performed (cost, turnaround, workmanship) by Dan & Ben @ 3rd Shift Motorsports in Huntington Beach. They also seem to be open a few hours after other shops have closed for the day, or weekend, which works well with my busy schedule.
Bavarian garage in Glendora, or the indie bmw shop on Vermont right off the 91 freeway.
Castro Motorsport in North Hollywood is another great option and is close to you:
