So I wanted to change belts on my 740i today and when I removed the AC-belt I noticed that the compressor pulley was a little loose and was somehow awkward to spin..
I removed the clutch to see what's going on and found this:

Weird thing is, I can't get the pulley off the compressor, I assume it should slide right of without that ring...
what causes this to happen? Everything worked fine, actually no weird noises when running and the compressor spins free...I'm just going to pruchase a AC-Clutch set and hope to be done with it...
