E39 BMW 540i/6 Dinan 5 Signature Car Serial No. S03685
Its time to put the 540i/6 Dinan 5 up for sale. I?ve owned this car for about a year, and have only put about 7k miles on it. It?s a great car, pulls very strong, and has been well sorted and taken care of its entire life. I myself am a former German car technician turned engineer, and although I like the executive feel of this car and the available power, I?d like to move in to something a bit better on gas. Also, having this car makes me want to tinker with it and mod more, but I need to focus on my project car!
The GOOD
The car runs great and and drives like a dream! It is a true Dinan signature car with its own serial number that is shown in the pictures. In the past 5 years it has had a ton of preventive work done. It was not done because it was needed but because the previous owner liked to have peace of mind that everything is in top shape. The interior leather is in great shape except some wear to be expected on the driver?s seat (no cracking, just could use some dye to be perfect. All stitching is intact as well, see pictures). The front tires have about 17k on them and are all seasons with plenty of tread. The rears have been replaced in the past month. Everything works as it should. NO RUST as its lived most of its life in Arizona, and never saw salt during my ownership. You'll be hard pressed to find a cleaner example of an e39 540i/6 let alone a Dinan 5 signature car!
The BAD
It?s an 18 year old car so some wear and tear is to be expected. The front of the hood has some paint chips and there?s some dings in the doors from parking lots over the years, but you can?t see them unless you really look. There are NO paint damage or knicks on the doors from this. The interior trim panels have some cracks in them, and were repainted a nice grey flake color at some point. Pixels are out in the dash (Common for these cars). There are a couple of knicks on the rear bumper.
