Does anyone know from experience if an e36 spoiler with fit an 8, and does anyone know any cars that have a similar shaped trunk?

I wouldn't do it, To narrow looking, Even the Csi is a incorrect fit, Not the width needed to compliment the E31 IMO. I'd do ACS or Racing Dynamics instead, Nice thought out fit.

+1 on the Racing Dynamics - it's the only way to go if you want this type of spoiler.

Unless i'm missing something, how do you raise the trunk on the RD & MK versions, since it seems to be attached to the rear fenders, instead of attached to the trunk?

It flares out to the end of the upper body but mounts at the ends of the trunk.

Wuffer has an AC Schnitzer spoiler, to my knowledge MK never made a spoiler for the E31.
