Well, after not listening to everyone on the forum and being unhappy with my numbers from my stage 2 VF supercharger setup, I decided to sell it and go turbo.
Current build list consists of the following:
Used Precision 6262 JB Turbo .82 ar ~800 miles
Rapidspool industries top mount manifold
Tial 44mm wategate (going to route back into exhaust)
Tial 50mm BOV
Treadstone TR1235 3.5" intercooler
3" intercooler piping
3" exhaust with vibrant ultra quiet resonator and vibrant street power 3" black muffler
SPAL pusher and puller fans
255 fuel pump
tapping timing cover for oil drain
Haven't purchased a tune yet, but probably going with TRM
Still waiting on a few parts.
Motor is a S52 with all new gaskets. ~150k miles.
Cutring with arp studs (no spacer, yeah I regret it)
Stock 5 speed transmission
3.38 LSD that I will probably try and trade for a 3.15
On to the pictures. Any input good or bad is welcome.

Last picture is how it currently sits. Hoping to get the manifold on today.
Waiting to see the reaction post on this one as well when its finished.

What fuel are you going to run? Looks like 93 if you have a 255.
With stock CR you have limited yourself to SC power...
Yeah 93 for now. according to 22rpd calculator I can run up to 12psi. This should get me in the 400rwhp range I would hope, right? My supercharger setup was only seeing ~330. Once I get everything up and running I can start reinforcing the subframe and changing to e85 if I'm not happy.
Nice parts list cant wait to see this done! With a fresh cutring gasket and a good tune 400whp should be no problem on 93 octane. Having 400whp and 400wtq should be a huge jump from the 330whp and probably under 300wtq.
Got the RSI manifold mounted. Very pleased with the fitment. Only a couple bolts were a pain to get to. Was really expecting it to take a lot longer to get on. Not messing with custom A/C lines for a while, but looks like it won't be a huge deal to run them as long as I'm careful with my wastegate routing.
Also sent my throttle body off to bore it out (maxbore.com).

How big can they get the oe tb?
68mm. Same size as riot racing bbtb I believe, but cheaper.

Nice fitment on the manifold looks like you can use the stock coolant reservoir with that setup?
I had originally planned to, but it actually sits a little low to route the intercooler pipe how I wanted. So I'm going to use an aftermarket reservoir and relocate it to the driver side.

OBC gone and Ortiz Custom Gauge pod installed. Not super impressed with fitment. It will do for now, but will probably go with something different in the future.

Turbo drain welded on. Timing cover going back on tomorrow hopefully.

Pusher fan mounted.

Gotta make brackets for the intercooler tomorrow as well. Probably bring it up a little higher also.
Decided I needed to lower compression. So this happened. About to order cut ring and copper spacer.

Very smart move
Had a couple questions hopefully someone can answer.
1) the aftermarket expansion tank I purchased came with a 16psi cap. Will this be enough or should I find a 20 or 30psi? I will be running the CES lower temp thermostat is that makes a difference.
2) the machine shop I use is notorious for taking 3-4 weeks for a simple head resurface. I e-mailed CES and they recommended a resurface after using a cut ring, but knows some that has had success without. My head was just resurfaced ~1000 miles ago. Still looks good and I can see the cut ring indentions in the head. Should I suck it up and wait for the machine shop to resurface it, or is it safe to slap a new cut ring/copper spacer and go with it? Hoping someone has done it with success on here...
Find another shop to cut the head. You need to resurface it. No reason it can't be done in 1-2 days.

Will do. Also when I go to put the head back on, is it ok to have the exhaust manifold already mounted to it? Don't have to do it, but it would save a lot of time.
Yes you can do that it just makes it a little harder to get on. Be careful not to move the cut rings.
I still the turbo flange sitting on the wheel arch? Looks like it from the pic. Do you have OEM motor mounts? Looks like it's going to be a good build
It may not have been bolted up completely in the first picture. It does clear it, but not by much. This is where it sits bolted up. Vibrant Air filter is a perfect fit. The heat tape I used isn't sticking all that great. I'm hoping when it heats up it will stick better, if not I'll have to try something else.

Dropped the head off at the shop today. They told me Wed or Thursday. So hopefully this weekend I can have it bolted back on. Moved a cruise control bracket and used it to hold my relocated expansion tank and also got the intercooler mounted.

Head gasket and spacer came in and shop finished with the head on Thursday. Did 25 ft lbs. yesterday and did the 2nd sequence to 50 ft lbs today. Tomorrow I'll go to 75 and put everything back together on the head.

Mocked up the intercooler pipe. I can't weld aluminum unfortunately, so taped it up and going to drop it off to have welded. Hope to have it back soon. Tomorrow I'm going to try and weld up my exhaust.
Got my exhaust started and my radiator came in. Still new to welding so it's not pretty, but I'm pretty sure it will work. The only place I don't like is that it touches the valve cover at the very rear, so I'm going to take it back off and cut out some to hopefully bring it away 1/2" or so. I'm also adding a heat shield on the valve cover as soon as I can find someone that can make a proper bend in the sheet I got.
Hope to start it up by the end of the week.

Nice! Looks great
Still no package from TRM. BBTB came in though. They were able to get it to 69mm. Every MM counts right?
