E66 lagging

Hi there! I purchased my e66 about 8 months ago and recently the car has been running odd. It idles fine however from idle on up it has no low end torque. I tried new gas and running cleaner in it and it has not been running any better. To make it more confusing it's not throwing any codes according to BMW. They tried diagnosing it for 4 hours and came up with a list of parts that cost more then the car is worth! Any help is greatly appreciated!

The hesitation comes around 2000rpms until it downshifts then it takes off like normal.

I'm having a sluggish issue also. If you lay into it...the car runs great. If you are just cruising at like 45 mph the car is sluggish and I actually have gas knocks. I'm thinking ignition system. Im gonna try new coils and plugs. My car has had a ton of resent work done. Rebuilt heads, all new engine seals, water pump, timing chains and guides and a bunch of other stuff. You should look into ignition also.
