intro - back in a BMW DD, man I love this touring

I've had 3 E30's and an E38 previously but have not had a BMW daily driver in several years. Also still have a 1974 R90/6 motorcycle. Sold my previous daily driver (Jeep) and picked up an E39 touring recently so I thought I'd introduce myself since I'll be around here more often now.

auto with sport package, navigation, rolling load floor, and a bunch of other little factory options that really work nicely.
    I'm the third owner

only mods are an AC Schnitzer spoiler and Bilstein shocks, extensive maintenance history including air shocks, full timing job, and a replacement transmission.

some paint/rust issues just starting so I'll be addressing those this summer.

Load floor works great, I may have exceeded the weight limit though... I didn't roll it all the way out with this on there.

    The motorcycle if anyone cares.

my main fun/project car is a 1971 Porsche 914-4 that I am building a 911 motor for, but now it's getting way off topic.
    The End.

The floor of the hatch area slides out for easy loading. Neat and somewhat rare option I do believe.

    The End.

Welcome! My X5 4.6is has that rolling load floor, it's pretty nifty. I also have a 2000 540it in Japan Red, it's a good daily driver.

I like it, both using it in a utilitarian mode and making the P car into a 914/6. Welcome back!
