Can anyone help me!!! I have a 2002 BMW X5 and when I step on the gas it loses power. I have to press on the gas lightly and only a quarter way down or the car act like their is no power. I have no cel code either. I did have a p0171 but it seems like it was the intake elbow hose that was ripped. I taped it just for a temp fix but it didn't fix the problem. Their is a little more power now tho. Help me please.
Hello and welcome to the forum! I would still pull the codes and see what stored codes are present. Did the resolve the p0171 code for a too lean mixture?

I'm getting cel p0171 system to lean bank 1 p0174 system to lean bank 2 p0313 misfire detected with low fuel and p0313 misfire detected with low fuel. I also had p0102 mass or volume airflow circuits low impute but I already replaced the MAF sensor. When I took out the spark plugs they were also covered in gas and so was the Disa valve witch idk if that's normal.
When was the last time you looked at your DISA Valve, they're only designed to last (in my opinion) for about 50,000 so if you haven't changed that in awhile I would say check that first... I have replaced 2 DISA Valves on my 2002 X5 3.0 in the last 80,000. This time I got an aluminum kit to fix the problem, it's running smooth now.
Also, grab a 24" piece of tubing and put it to your ear and probe around your intake to find any whistling or hissing air leaks. You may need to take off the intake cover to listen to all the joints around to of the intake...
Just a caution to check your DISA Valve periodically, if a piece of it breaks off and gets sucked into your engine, you will have a bad day! I believe that was the source of my problem back in early 2015 when I lost power and had to park my X5 till I could find the problem. I started a post asking for advice while I was tracing down my problem:

The end result was I got the top end rebuilt and it's driven like a new car since then, except for my DISA Valve failing a few days ago and my Crankshaft Position Sensor failing too. Here is the exhaust valve that failed and caused all my headaches.
All and all it was a good experience, I know my car much better now, I would buy another X5 if I have the chance.

Ima do that tube thing didn't think about doing that. I checked my disa valve looked good the only thing was the gasket on their needed replace. I hear a hissing sound in the middle of the intake but not sure if that's normal or not. I have white smoke from the exhaust but it smells like gas.
