I have a dozen E31 phones for sale - cleaned up and ready to go

PRICES REDUCED!!!!!!!! My dear E31 friends. I have taken on the task to search, locate, buy, clean and make them ready for our cars. E31 phones. With the new wave of stock looks and values increasig on our cars, I think many would like to re-install the phones which they threw away long ago. All phones pictured are available and if anyone wants any other kind or I run out of this batch, let me know and I will find one for you. Phone models. Motorola/BMW International 1000 Motorola/BMW Startac 1000/2000 All phones come with cradles and cables etc... You can either choose the "over the console edge" style or "leveled with the console edge" style. The latter I call the David Hackney & Taylor Patterson style. All phones are $175 shipped. (This is the price for phone unit, hard labor and shipping). Trust me it's not an easy job. These phones work in Europe with GSM network but not USA. They look good in the car however. Several guys have bought phones and other items from me and they can hopefully testify to my quality and honesty. I also have two very rare US spec CSi phones. 94 models mainly. (95s are incoming). Well. It all depends on how much each individual values the phone in their car. I've sold a dozen so far and E31 owners have paid premium prices for them. Specially CSi owners.
Car prices have gone up too. I don't see anyone complaining about that when they ask 20-30% more today than just 6 months ago. Everything is relative.

Attached the 1994 model phone from a CSI (100% correct model from factory)

To make it factory specs and working: Special cable loom, original GSM antenna and the send/recieve UNIT in the trunk (on top of the amplifier).
Antenna: find one first and it requires a headliner removal and c-pilar cover removal to route the cable !

So a bit more work and expenses to get it done correctly.

If for show: just buy a period correct model (non working) and put it in (far cheaper....sorry).

There are several phone models put in CSi's, depending on what part of the world it was sold. The one you have is more common in Europe. In the US, they look different. I have a picture of it in my own car above.

Ok good to know, but as far as I know none work without the part in the back (these are just the handles).

Yes sir I know that as well. Most still have those units in the back. They only took the handsets out.

nope mine is complete (one car has this from factory and fully working)... but if I was missing it I would buy one immediatly (just looks cool an old phone)

I know. I Agree 100% but sometimes I have to confess, I miss having an armrest instead. Less strain on my shoulder. Anything for Looks. Lol.

If the GSM ones worked in the USA, or the AMPS ones we got originally still had a cellular network, I could see the point.

However, even as a lover of defunct old technology, I took the effort of removing every trace of that damn phone - including the massive cables that run into the trunk, antenna wires, etc. Even as a BMW-installed option, they are crudely installed with wiretaps behind the stereo and a bunch of crap under the console.

Hi Alec I will need an advise. My Console looks like the picture and I cant seem to fit my Older Motorola BMW phone which I had for 1 year (at that time it was rare to source these phones). Is there a specific model that fits this or I have to remove the plastic surround? Appreciate your help.

You have to remove that plastic "hole cover" in the back of your console so the cradle can fit and sit comfortably inside the console. That plastic prevents it from going in and sitting there.
That hole also contains the phone jack which powers up your phone.
