    I-drive Computer location

    where is the computer/ecu for the Idrive located on our cars?
    is there one or is it integrated into the display?

    The display is only a display. The computer, or head unit, is the CD drive/radio unit in the dash. Typically called the M-ASK (audio system controller in German, I believe).

    Ok thanks i knew that, that was true for the 5 and 6 series and i had read that the 7 series idrive was a drifferent system all together.
