I have same wheels, no spacers, works with stock and lowered suspension.
these are the one of the best looking wheels on our 8's

I have BF Goodrich g-Force Comp-2 Front: 245/45/ZR17 Rear: 275/40/ZR17 on chrome MK1's. The rears are not too wide, but I think the stance in the front is much better with the stock Style 8's. Both will come with the car when ready for sale.

Any issues in comfort / handling with these size tires?

    Thanks

The BF Goodrich tires came with the MK wheels and the ride seems harder until they warm up. I've always used Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires on 18" M-Pars (245/40 ZR18- 285/35 ZR18) on my CSi and the ride is always smooth. Tire pressure set to 40psi all around on both cars and both have new upper and lower control arms with stock struts. IMHO, 17" wheels are not going to make a noticeable difference. Focus on tire selection and use the sizes as noted above.

Congratulations! Those are my favourite wheels for the E31.
When in doubt, drive flat out!
