Resetting Keyfob!

Hello, does anybody know is there a way to reset a key fob to remember diferrent settings since when i purchased my car the fob is holding the original owner's settings. For exemple,turns the fan on automaticly every time i start the car which annoys me a lot.
I have a 2006 530xi wagon

The cabin fan turns on automatically regardless of key FOB setting.It's the nature of the beast...he he
The key fobs sets itself with what ever setting you do to the car and memorizes it after car shutdown.
If you other half wants her own setting,use the other FOB and set her own radio,climate controls,seat position etc...

No you don't! You DO know that you set the settings with the controls on the side of the driver's seat, don't you?

I'm not sure what do you mean,could you be more specific please. Those buttons only control the seat don't they?! I have problem with the fan turning on every single time i start the car. Any thoughts on that?

Look up "Personal Profile" in your owner's manual. You can set preferences for seat, steering wheel position, brightness of the control display, air distribution, audio volume, stored radio stations, etc. You use the Auto button on the dash to set your fan preferences.
