BMW S54 Long Block minus VANOS (MY 2002, 90k miles)

This is a 90k mile disassembled long block. The engine was involved in a fire somewhere. The only damage was to the O2 sensor wiring and etching/ensuing mess from dry chem fire extinguishers. There was water in the oil which was present in the filter housing and pump.

I pulled the head...head gasket looks good, cams look to be in good shape and everything looks to be in order. Only issue is the followers have some dried oil residue (from sitting???) but they can be cleaned up. The followers are otherwise smooth and in good shape.

The block, rods, and mains look fine.

With some minor disassembly, thorough cleaning...you will have a good long block. The VANOS or attachments are not included but I can work out a deal. I can help out with new gaskets, torque to yield bolts and other stu

$2000 plus shipping and includes the block w/ rotating assembly, cylinder head w/cams. Probably ~$130ish freight plus $40 residential charge.
