Howdy,
I am working around a bad driver side window switch in a 2005 x3 3.0
I can run the window up and down using a hot lead for battery, charger etc. but the 12v leads that come in to the motor are not hot.
Should these be hot? Or is there a part of the switch that makes them hot?
Alternatively is there another easy to access 12v line I can use?
I am making a 3 way momentary switch so as to avoid spending $280 for a switch from the dealer.
I researched the issue here and tried the mirror trick etc, the switch is bad.
Thanks
