I have been "restoring" my 1994 850CSi for over two years and have done everything that the car needs to be 99% original. The previous owner replaced the truck badges with black chrome. The OEM chrome "CSi" badge is NLA (even though the current parts list says it is available) and according to BMW (as of yesterday) will never be available again. This is my last piece of the puzzle. Any help anyone anywhere can give me would be very much appreciated. I am willing to pay whatever it takes (within reason) to get the part.
$300 Brand new with the sticker still on the back,)
Thanks for the response. "Within reason" are the operative words. $300 for a $20 parts is stretching it. I will keep your offer in mind but will see what else appears. Push comes to shove, I will live with the black chrome.
What is the underlying material? Easiest option might just be having them re-chromed. It's been a long time, but I've always had good service from Kerr Plating in the Phoenix area.
Cheers, John
I believe it is plastic. I have talked to local (San Diego) platers and they have told me that couldn't be replaced.

Sorry, meant "replaced", not replaced.

you know what I mean. REPLATED
Thanks for the support. Maybe a fellow BMW guy will not try to retire on my needs, but in fact, help a fellow owner with a reasonable request.
Yea it's a joke, Sheesh.... I sold one to a member that bought it for a spare, I was hoping he'd chime in and rescue the OP.
How about ordering one from ECS Tuning?

I would in a heart beat if they had the part. Unless you see something I don't, it doesn't look like they have it. Part #51148165173. Thanks for the tip though.
8eights - Do you really have one or is it a "joke"? If you do, are you willing to sell it to me for a reasonable price or can I get the name of the member you sold one to for a spare?

You are absolutely right about that, didn't intend to be misleading.
I would encourage a search on the German eBay and eBay Marketplace sites for "csi Schriftzug" which is the badge. You'll have the most luck there if there are, in fact, any available worldwide. Good luck.
.... searching for years already.... nothing (got one car with and one without).
BUT... I have an almost 100% correct 3D model .... it can be 3D printed (characters/size/spacing/slopes are correct, just needs some detailing).
If BMW decides not to produce these again I might run a small series.

Would 3-D printing be an option?
LOL, the intriguing question is "how much more?". I have one, $600. Now doesn't Marvin look like a reasonable guy in comparison to a shameless bastard like me 8^)
Just kidding, of course. Get in touch; use email address in sig, please.
How come the middle half of any project always takes the most time?
