question on door lock programming

When I use the key fob to unlock the car I have to press it a second time to unlock the passenger door and trunk. I want everything to unlock at the same time. Is this something I can do by reprogramming the key fob or do I have to recode the body control module?

I believe that you need to have the fob reprogrammed in order to do this. If you have the idrive system, there may be an option in there to set this up.

SSS Progman or ISTA P should be able to do that....Or if you have P.A. Soft you can do it with that as well.

This is programmable in the gm5 module I believe. I imagine you can change it with something like NCS expert, although I use 'Carly' for most of my simple coding needs. It is definitely programmable using carly.

Carly looks interesting. What adapter are you using? I looked at their website and it looks like I need the cable adapter. It says the OBD2 Bluetooth adapter doesn't work with e46.

I'm using their USB adapter.You'll need a USB to micro/mini/etc adapter (depending on your phone) and it should work fine. If I remember correctly you can order the adapter along with the cable from their site.
Carly won't do anything you can't do with INPA/NCS expert, but it does allow for quick and easy diagnostics/basic coding/parameters etc.
