1998 bmw m3 top wont unhinge to close

Hi there i could really use help and its raining ..i just replaced my 98 m3 with another 98 m3 that i wrecked..the ins comp was generous enough to to give me KBB on it so purchased another..well the too didnt work and i was excited when i learned how to take it down..now its raining out side and the top is not unhinging from the last rod that extends to the windshield and it sitting outside with a blanket over it ..i cant get it down ive dont the lefty loosely righty tighty and nothing unhinges this i ve disengaged every motor still nothing..please help me or call me 909-242-4765-rachel

The locking motor drive cables under the header panel probably have issue. You will need to lower the header panel and see what's happening. Probably a frayed or broken cable
