OK, so I'm interested in an E53 or an E70. I personally think the E53 is better lookin', but I'd be happy with an E70, too.
I sat in a 2012 E70 last night, though, and even with the seat all the way back, as low as it would go, and with the front kicked up and the seat leaned way back, I sat up too high.
I'm used to this. I'm 6'5"/285, and I don't fit in anything!
I solved this problem with my '70 Chevelle by swapping in Camaro seat brackets. They dropped the seat by 2", and it was perfect!
I solved it in my 1989 Firebird by swapping in Fiero seat brackets. They dropped the seat by about an inch, and it was a lot better.
I solved it on my 1996 Jeep Cherokee by having the seat brackets cut and re-welded, and taking a big freaking hammer to the big bump in the driver's-side floorboard over the transfer case. I got nearly 3", and it is awesome!
Is there a solution for an X5?
Thanks

I've never seen or heard of anyone doing this. But with the right amount of money, anything is possible!
