    E36 M3 Spring plate measurements?

I've looked and can't find measurements for spring plates for 95 and 96+ M3s.

One of my H&R Sport springs broke yesterday (sitting in the garage. I heard it break while I was standing there. So weird). I'm ordering replacements, but am unsure about my spring plate.

I have a 98 Sedan, but the H&R springs on the car 1) came with it when I bought it, so I don't know for sure what they are, and 2) are gray, which tells me they're actually H&R OE Sport rather than H&R Sports.

I read a time or two that H&R Sports are gray, but think this was just a typo due to the confusing naming from H&R. They are VERY old, judging by the rust (which is the likely culprit for the break).

Anyway, after ordering some new, blue H&R Sports for the car, I realized the H&R OE Sports are 1995 M3 fitment ONLY, and installation required switching to a 95 spring plate.

So, since mine are gray (and very old), I'm assuming that change was made and I'm running 95 spring plates. Which means that I need to order H&R Sports for a 95 rather than for a 96+ - RIGHT?

(And I see that spring plates used to be super cheap - like $10 each, but now they're more like $50 each, so I don't feel a burning need to swap back today).

[Edit] I measured mine, and the outer diameter of the spring plate is about 6 inches, with the inner part that goes inside the spring about 4.5 inches.

    Thanks!

I have a partial answer. I called Vorshlag, and they said the 96+ springs have a 101mm inner diameter, which is just a hair under 4 inches.

He didn't have a measurement for the 95 springs, but my measurement was enough different I think I can ID my plates as from a 95.
