    Higher Mileage Reliability

I'm looking at two 6s...the one is a 659, the other an M, both 08s. Mileage is up there on both...70-80k. I want considering a 6 until recently so I haven't had to much time to research. Obviously there's no sure thing, but in general are these things just timebombs at this mileage?

    are slow
M6 has rod bearing issues around that mileage and SMG woes.
650i has stem seals to worry about.

Whether or not they're timebombs really depends on service history. M5Board.com can help you out a lot with these cars, especially the M6. Expect to pay double or more on preventative maintenance compared to your E90.
