So I've been seeing a lot of build threads where people wrap their cars to achieve a unique color without the time and money commitment of a proper paint job. I've been looking to make a car purchase and can't seem to find the right model/trim with a good color combination without either going outside of my budget or driving 2+ hours. I'm hoping someone could shed some light on wraps -- where to get one (I'm in between Harrisburg, PA and Baltimore, MD), costs, how long they typically last, and required care.

I got mine in NJ. I have a 2013 X1 x35i and usually they charge more or less about $2500 for similar size. I think they can do $2000 for a sedan. They had my car for 4 days.
Then I tried doing the small interior parts myself and wrapped the trims. It used to be wood trims.
Anyone have info on maintenance requirements for wraps?

Handwash carwash only or wash it yourself.
Its easier to take care of a wrap than it is paint...
I'm a huge fan of wraps. In fact, one of my buddies wrapped his 69 Mustang and it looked amazing! They last for a few years if treated properly (no automated car washes!!!) and give your car a unique look. Plus, the rock chip protection is an added bonus. I was with the stradman the other day and he just rewrapped the front of his lambo for the goldrush rally. After seeing his car up close in person, I'm a huge fan because once you get a few rock chips, simply apply a second piece of wrap and walaaaa.. looks like new!
This is my only wrapped car. The wrap is starting to bubble a little bit on the corners in the Florida heat. Screen Shot 2017-07-01 at 1.36.39 PM.png
