Hey guys,
I've recently done some maintenance to my car. And found it is not charging. When I acquired the car it would miss etc due to bad batteries. So I did a bunch of much needed maintenance including replacing the batteries (bad cells). It still wasn't charging. I then replaced the alternator as it was probably needed and not terribly expensive.
I just fired it up and it's still not charging. I checked all the fuses I could find (left rear truck box. Under hood.) and found all the fuses to be ok.
The fuseable link in the trunk is also ok. The car fires up and runs fine, unless you slowly increase revs. Then around 4K rpm it begins to miss and chug, dropping revs, even if the throttle is held steady. Eventually stalling. But it fires right back up.
Are there any common issues with this? I did a quick search and found nothing.
Any info would be great
Well it fixed itself.
Thanks for the added tips guys.
I ran into some other issues so I'll be diving back in .
The power steering won't bleed down, causing it to say "brake assist isn't available". And every time I pump the brakes the fluid level raises, but won't go back down.
I cracked lines lose and it has fluid everywhere except for up top. So I'm guessing it has air trapped somewhere.
Also it has a vacuum leak. Hoping it's the injector o-rings and not the intake gaskets 😬
