    Question My Cruise Control Died ... What To Do?

    Hi All,

    My 2001 330ci coupe's cruise control died a couple days ago and I'm at a loss on how to fix it.

    I replaced the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor, and it still won't work. The green cruise control light appears when I turn it on, but it won't engage. Also, the brake lights stay on continuously. This makes me (and i'm sure all the other drivers behind me) nervous.

    Should I do some kind of reset on the car? I was looking around for any cruise control or other related components, but can't seem to find any. Hopefully there's a relatively easy answer.

    Many thanks for your help!

    * UPDATE *

    I found the following thread on this forum:

    After reading that, I just ordered a replacement brake light switch from AutohausAZ (love those guys)!

    Check your brake pedal switch and the bracket it sits on, it may be bent. Brakes applied = cruise will disengage (normal functionality).
