Finally a DSP ready head unit, the AVIN Avant-3

Installed mine today. I’m happy!

I do get a buzzing noise when I turn on the lights, but besides that, it’s zippy, dsp works fine, steering wheel controls work fine, it reads the can bus stuff fine. Radio sound quality isn’t as good as stock. I made a wrong connection when booking up my dashboard a while ago and ever since then, the cassette player was brighter than the MID and A/C co trips except at night, when it all looks fine.

Hoping that is is the source of my buzzing. Have to code my replacement LCM.. Will check it out tonight to see if there’s a difference.

AVIN: The MS of car audio...release a crap product then use customers as guinea pigs, offer useless customer support....selling out of these units...did they order 6 from the factory. Congratulations to those who received a working unit and didnt end up $600 out of pocket

I gave up on upgrading. Just going to keep the MKI. If anyone wants an MKIII with MKI to MKIII/IV adapter, I have a set for sale.

Well, my DSP keeps crapping out. Little bugs here and there. So much potential there.
