I recently purchased a 2003 Z4, I see the tires are from 2008, they look new with no dry rot . The car was not driven much, very low mileague for a 14 year old car. They are not run flats so I believe they are the 2nd set of tires. These are 250/55/16.I am curious as to how much of a more beefier tire I can put on the stock 16 inch rims.
I had tire size wrong, the current tires are 225/50/16
Depends on how wide they are. I cant imagine much more than 215/225 would look good and fit properly
I have 245's all around. This is the widest I believe you can do on the front. You can do wider on the back, but if you rotate tires, this is your widest option.
You may like the look of 17 or 18 wheels, check out the preview function on Tire Rack.
Not so much a signature as a cry for help.
Hold on, saw this in a cartoon once...think I can pull it off.
Dumb Question. If your tires look new with no signs of dry rot, why are you replacing them?
They are 9 years old and despite appearances, old tires should be replaced. Economy car tires with harder compounds can be ok up to maybe 10 years, sports cars like these run softer compounds and I wouldnt go more than 8 years.
They are 9 year old Sumito, , they look good on the outside ,but who knows about the inside. Never had tires that old. I don't feel a flat spot though.
