It's almost as much fun as doing the same thing is his s10 blazer. The fun I have in the e36 m3 isn't anything like that. In the m3 I get my kicks from feeling the suspension do work, fighting for grip through corners, managing weight transfer. In the m3 it is about the exhilaration of the drive, the car becomes a mere tool and all you notice is the road. The camaro is more about the theater. The comment about a pile of garbage wrapped around a solid drive train is dead on, and in my opinion is what makes them so much fun. I'd never own one.
    This is the best.

What did you choose in the end? My wife also wants a 4-door but I want a lightweight 2-door. Do any of you have a Camaro 1SS or 2SS? To be honest, we have been looking at these cars for a long time and still can't choose which one is better. I still think 2SS is better because it comes with more standard comfort and convenience features. I think my wife and I have already read all the articles on the Internet comparing these 2 cars. I would be interested to read your opinion on this. Thanks in advance!

This is kind of a weird necro (maybe not necro, but definitely on life support), but if it matters, the coupe and sedan weigh the same.

(unless you're dropping $50k+ on an actual 1995 BMW M3 Lightweight. Very few people have the money and weird preferences that would combine to purchase a 25 year old special edition and then depreciate it by daily driving the thing).

Definitely weird to revive this, but the question is relevant still. There is very little in options between the 90s and modern day for RWD, manual, and fun/interesting cars. The appreciation of everything 90s just exaggerates the interest since there are no cars afterwards to properly fill the void.
