Not long time ago on my e36 328is a rear right spring broke so I decided to go buy the Performance spring set from bavauto(their brand).
Installed the rear about 3 weeks ago everything went good, the rear dropped about an 1". Today I also replaced my old front h&r sport springs with the performance spring set, everything went good until I dropped the car, and it was way heigher than h&r( which I guess will drop your car with about 2") those supposed to drop it with only 1" 1/4. I did not measure it but can fit up to three fingers between the tire and fender while the back it's about 2 fingers down the tire.
I did something wrong or that's what it is, I wanna mention that front strut are regular bilstein.
I'm happy to hear you went with our springs on your car. I had these on an E36 I owned about 15 years ago. It's actually pretty normal for the wheel gap to be less in the rear just because of the fact that the rear fender wells are lower than the fronts. Also if you haven't driven it yet the suspension certainly hasn't compressed. Take it for a good ride and see if it settles. A photo from the side of the car on level ground would be helpful too.

I've found BavAuto front springs to be excellent, however rear springs are too low to my taste.
